Marking out of the baseboard and bridges

The initial hole marked out in the soundboard at the beginning of the marking out process can be seen here between the two bridge-positioning pins.  The distance of the left-hand pin to the hole in the soundboard is less than the corresponding distance to the right-hand pin.  This is determined by the bridge positioning-pin jig seen in the section on marking the position of the bridge

The textured surface of the soundboard, caused by the final soundboard thickness with a furniture scraper, is quite clearly seen here in the grazing light.
