Making the measuring and marking-out sticks
This photograph shows Andrea Fontanelli, our sometime workshop apprentice, making one of the marking-out sticks. The positions were calculated using the calculator to a precision of 0.1mm, and then the vernier scale positioned accordingly before making each cut.
