Advantages

  1. Makes efficient use of the space in the building.
  2. Fulfils all of the general requirements.
  3. Separates the maternity from the infectious diseases wards.
  4. Maternity beds have a good degree of privacy from one another.
  5. Delivery rooms are large and spacious.
  6. There is an adequate amount of storage area.
  7. There is a large door into the near Clinical area for stretcher access.
  8. This option can cope with mass clinics.

Disadvantages

  2. There is no light and ventilation to the central rear Dressings room.
  3. There may be a lack of space for clinical records in the Registration and Dispensary.
